LONGWAY high-rate battery belongs to float charge high-rate backup lead acid battery. Adopting a high-rate lead paste formula with high discharge characteristics, meanwhile optimizing the grid design and grid alloy to achieve excellent float charging ability. They are widely used in UPS, electric power system etc. As a float charging backup long-life battery, it has good float charging performance and excellent consistency.
The LONGWAY General Series small-size batteries (less than 24Ah) are designed and developed using AGM technology and valve controlled sealing technology. They can meet conventional performance requirements, with a designed float charging life of over 5 years. The valve controlled non-spillable structure design allows safe use in any direction and is certified by sea and air freight. The battery performance also meets international standards, such as IEC61056-2012,JIS C8702-1-2003 , UL1989, etc.

Q: What is a Valve-Regulated Sealed Lead-Acid Battery (VRLA)?
A: A VRLA battery is a sealed lead-acid battery that utilizes internal oxygen recombination technology (oxygen recombines at the negative plate to form water) for maintenance-free operation. It is equipped with a safety valve to prevent excessive pressure buildup. There are two types: AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and Gel.
Q: How is a VRLA battery different from a conventional flooded lead-acid battery?
A: Sealed & Maintenance-Free: No water refilling is needed; the electrolyte is absorbed (AGM) or gelled (Gel).Oxygen Recombination: Minimizes gas emissions and allows horizontal installation (though upright is recommended).Safety Valve: Releases excess pressure to prevent swelling.
Q: Does a VRLA battery require an initial charge?
A: It comes pre-charged, but if stored for over 6 months, a supplementary charge is recommended before use (use constant voltage charging as per the manual).
Q: What is the correct charging voltage?
A:For 12V Batteries:Cycle Use: 14.4-14.8V (lower for Gel batteries).Float Charge: 13.6-13.8V (to maintain charge without overcharging).Always follow the manufacturer's specifications-excessive voltage can cause water loss or thermal runaway.
Q: How to determine if a battery is end-of-life?
A: Replace if:Capacity drops below 60% of the rated value.Voltage drops rapidly after a full charge (e.g., s12.0V for a 12V battery at rest).Internal resistance increases significantly (requires specialized equipment).
